The second in a series of three annual exhibitions, The Betty Quelhurst Gift acknowledges the generous benefaction of QUT alumnus and distinguished Queensland artist Betty Quelhurst. In 2005, the Betty Quelhurst Fund was established in the acquisitions program, to enable the Museum to purchase major works by contemporary Australian women artists.

The exhibition features selected works from the second year of purchases.

Artists include: Pat Brassington, Fiona Foley, Janet Laurence, Gloria Petyarre and Madonna Staunton.
