Audio described film screening

Join us for an audio described screening of the iconic 1979 horror film Dracula directed by John Badham. In this stylish retelling of the classic dark romantic novel by Bram Stoker and its 1924 stage adaptation, Frank Langella gives an electrifying performance as the bloodthirsty Count who travels to England in 1913 in search of an immortal bride. This film is rated 18 plus.

Audio description (AD) is the description of visual information, narrated between gaps in the dialogue and accessible to people who are blind or have low vision. For this film screening, the live audio description is provided by Vivienne Abitia, an experienced actor and voice work artist who delivers live audio description for the Queensland Performing Arts Centre through Vision Australia, as well as other organisations and events.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Anne Wallace: Strange Ways, showing at QUT Art Museum.
