Sam Cranstoun is a practicing visual artist and founding member of Artist-Run-Initiative (ARI) Current Projects.

Sam completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Art) Honours at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2010, after commencing a Bachelor of Animation at Griffith University.

Sam is currently represented by a commercial gallery and has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Australia and internationally. In 2009 and 2007, Sam was the youngest finalist in the prestigious Archibald Prize, for a portrait of his father, Peter Cranstoun, and actor, Gyton Grantley, respectively. His work is held in both private and public collections.
