Wallace's paintings challenge the status quo, what we expect from painting; they are anything but ordinary

Vanessa Van Ooyen

Join artist Anne Wallace, arts writer and musician Francis Plagne and exhibition curator and Gallery Director Vanessa Van Ooyen on the opening weekend of Anne Wallace: Strange Ways, as they delve into the worlds within Wallace's figurative paintings.

Bringing together more than 80 works from public and private collections, this major exhibition surveys Wallace's idiosyncratic practice and the unique contribution she has made to Australian painting for almost thirty years. Anne Wallace: Strange Ways encourages audiences to look below the surface, beyond the seemingly mundane, to reveal the worlds beneath, the worlds within, and the worlds beyond.
