Odd Folio

Past event

Odd Folio welcomes final year Visual art students across institutions to share their portfolios and engage in a critique driven dialogue in conjunction with the exhibition Odd Bedfellows at QUT Art Museum. Odd Bedfellows brings together the works of six remarkable Queensland artists held in the QUT Art Collection whose disparate practices are drawn together by their sub-tropical context.

Guided by prompts, students will be invited to join in a general group discussion around the effects of COVID-19 on emerging artists and their practices. Following this, attendees will present their most recent individual portfolios with an emphasis on their upcoming graduation exhibitions. The group will be encouraged to give feedback and offer insights.

Hosted by QUT graduating art students and QUT Art Museum interns Lucy Nguyen-Hunt and Zara Dudley, this event aims to bridge the gap between practitioners and their peers caused by COVID-19.
